Training

A key aspect of the service supplied by Trade Director is to help clients to help themselves where there is the internal capacity and capability to do so. Help can however easily extend to more formal training, in whatever format is requested by a client. Training is available from both Trade Director, and other associated high-quality professionals, across all of the multiple specialist areas within international trade, as well as on the geographic areas of Europe.

Our courses are bespoke, so the content will be developed according to the brief from a client, which we can help with as required. Once we understand the aim of the course and the abilities of those planning to attend, we can correctly pitch the content according. Where there is a mixture of knowledge levels participating, attendees who need ‘bringing up to speed’ can be provided with content covering the basics ahead of the training, or a pre-training session can be provided.

Given we are client facing, we appreciate just how important it is gain ‘buy-in’ from those being trained, as well as to maintain a connection during the training in order to maintain interest, improve understanding, and to retain knowledge. I am sure we have all attended training where the trainer clearly knew their subject matter, but may as well have pre-recorded the training such was the lack of interaction. Or the trainer who rattled through a vast amount of material, with little appreciation they had left the participants behind. To help improve interaction and attention throughout training, we can also provide attendees with one or more follow-up questionnaires that touch upon key points of learning, which are short, quick to complete, and potentially even fun!

Training Charges

Due to the bespoke nature and variation of the training programs we and our associates are able to provide, charges are based upon the specific requirements of a client. While the number of attendees has a small influence on costs, we do not charge on a per person basis.

Value Added

Value Added puts the risk on us, not our clients. There is no charge from us for the time we spend on a client’s project, until the client sees an uplift in revenue return from the market(s) we have worked on.

For example, a market project sees a revenue gain of €10,000 in January of this year compared to last. From this €10,000 we earn a small percentage over an agreed number of months. If there is no revenue gain however, we receive no payment.

Any further projects undertaken by us on that market does not increase the percentage, just the period.
